Night Shore Session

Please book your preferred date and we will contact you nearer the time if we need to combine some dates to make enough numbers to run the session.  We run the sessions with a minimum of 4 and max of 6 per guide/instructor. 

The whole experience will last 3 hours with around an 60-90min of snorkelling. Our session times are flexible, usually running during normal working hours. However we'll contact participants to confirm the start time.

We'll change into wetsuits at the location which is usually 5-10min drive of Oban town centre. Having a towel or changing robe with you is handy for this. Remember to bring swimming costume, it's advisable to wear this under your clothes for easy changing. 

We ask that people have some snorkeling experience as it's more challenging at night. Enquire about a day & night combo so you can experience it in both situations along with gaining some experience during the day with one of our guides if you haven't had much snorkelling experience. 

An underwater torch is included the shore session but snorkel equipment is not included as some people do prefer to bring their own. We allow this providing it is suitable for our temperate waters. Please review the hire gear page prior to booking and have sizes ready (from the size chart page).  When sizing yourself please go for body size first and height second. 

Floodlight Boat Snorkel/Swim Session

Unlike the shore sessions you will board the boat at the Oban town centre pontoons. We'll head to a sheltered bay where we will anchor in calm conditions and setup our underwater floodlight system. Marine life is attracted in as you don your snorkel equipment and dive in.

Session time is around 4hrs and usually starts around sunset and is weather dependant. 

We can host both snorkelers and wild swimmers on the same session, we would expect wild swimmers to bring a tow float with a light in th bag for visibility. You will enjoy the ambience of swimming in the pool of light whilst gazing at the night sky. 

We will shut off the lights at the end so you have a chance to see the bioluminescence. 

Snorkel equipment or torches are not included as some people do prefer to bring their own. We allow this providing it is suitable for our temperate waters. For swimmers a torch is not required unless you want to observe marine life.
